| Black Belt Class:  The next scheduled Black Belt Class is Saturday, April 3rd starting at noon.  All Black Belts and Black Stripes are required to attend and must talk to Master Todd if you will not be there. Promotion Testing:  The next promotion testing will be held, Friday, April 16th.  We will let all students know soon who is testing.   Remember all black belts are required to attend testing and all students are encouraged to attend to support your class mates. Future Events:  Remember the success of our events relies on students attending and their parents support (for the younger students).   We have several events coming up that we hope you make room in your schedule and budget to attend.  June 5th will be our Annual Axe Taekwon-Do tournament.  This is a sanctioned USTF tournament and while we hesitate to say attendance is mandatory we would like to see 100 percent participation.   The flyer is located on our website and you can ask one of the instructors for further information, remember you should participate in one tournament per year.  July 30th will be the Region 6 Camp in Mexico, Missouri.   We will take as many students as can attend to this event.  More information is on our website and this is one of the most outstanding events you can attend annually.  Please ask if you need further information. Class Time Change Clarification:  (By Master Todd)You may remember the email sent out by Mr. Bushor concerning time changes.   Let me clarify this for all students and parents.  This in no way was intended for students to only train one class per night.  If students were attending two classes per night, I still expect them to do the same.  Using the below guide for times is only listing what Mr. Bushor, Ms Bowing and I will be focusing our attention on.  For example, during the 6:30-7:30pm class we will be focusing on the green-red belts.   All other students will train quietly in the back.  There are black belts available to help if needed but this is a time for students to quietly work on their own as much as possible.  It will not become a “mad house”.  If it gets out of control, I will solve that situation immediately.   Students need more than just one class per day to become proficient. The one class per day is the bare minimum and may result in longer times between advancement.  We encourage students to train in the back, on their own, and at home.   Please see me if there are any misunderstandings.  What I do not want is the feeling that you are getting less training time, nothing could be further from the truth.   Again if you have questions ask me or email me at ustfneb@cox.net.

Respect & Discipline:  (by Master Todd)We recently attended the USTF Class B Instructors Course in Missouri taught by the Director of Technique, Grand Master Winegar, 9th Degree Black Belt.  When we return we are always full of energy and reminded that we need to train harder and more technically correct.  While I feel our class is doing a good job and we offer quality instruction I have let the discipline slacken a little.  You will see a refocused effort by myself, Mr. Bushor and Ms. Bowing on this area.  I do plan on hosting a USTF Class C Instructors course in the first quarter of 2011.  As a reminder to all:
 1.  Upon entering and leaving the school you will bow to the Flags, the School, The senior Instructor, and any students present in the school.  This is for your first and last time coming or going, other times such as breaks only require one bow when leaving and one when returning.2.  The first student that notices the senior instructor arriving or leaving will call the entire school to attention.  The senior black belt (or senior color belt if no black belts are present) in the room will then issue the command to bow.  Do not call the room to attention if there is a more senior black belt in the room than the one that is arriving.  Example do not call the room to attention if Master Todd is in the room and Mr. Bushor or Ms. Bowing arrive.   However you would call the room to attention if an 8th degree arrived and Master Todd was teaching.
 3.  All students will be addressed as Mr. or Ms. This includes family members training in class, titles such as dad, mom, son, daughter, wife, etc., are left at the door, we are all students in Taekwon-Do and will be addressed by the proper titles.  This extends outside the school for black belts.  No black belts will be addressed by anything other than their proper title by any students inside or outside of the school.
 4.  The first student to arrive will check the condition of the Dojang and make any necessary changes such assweeping, or moving equipment, etc. If you observe one of the black belts doing this you should offer to do it for them if you are lower ranking.  Do not complain to the Youth Center staff this is a good example of humility, take pride in your school.
 5.  Change clothes and proceed to warm up by exercising, stretching, or practicing forms or basic exercises.  Save your talking and horseplay for outside of the class.  Do not wear your belt outside the Youth Center.
 6.  Class will be opened by formal bowing and meditation.
 7.  You will give the instructor your full attention at all times.  When you have a question, raise your hand and when acknowledged, bow first, address your senior as Master, Mr. or Ms. and then ask your question.  You must bow again when you are finished.  Do not sit down or walk away until given permission.
 8.  Do not leave the class for any reason unless you receive permission from the instructor.
 9.  The Dobok (uniform) will be neat and clean at all times.  Only white t-shirts are authorized for wear under your Dobok. Ladies should wear an appropriate sports bra or shirt for modesties’ sake.
 10.  There will be no designs or extraneous patches put on the uniform except the authorized patches.
 11.  There will be no jewelry worn at any time during class.  The only exception will be wedding bands and they will have to be taped to prevent injury to you and your classmates.
 12.  There will be no profanity of any type in the Dojang.
 13.  If a fellow student asks for assistance, direct them to the instructor.  No colored belts will be allowed to teach.    Only black belts that are certified by the USTF courses are allowed to teach.
 14.  Tuition will be paid to the gym by the second week of each month.  We will begin monitoring this and students failing to make this requirement will be excused from class.
 15.  Test fees must be paid prior to the testing.  Only tuition is paid to the Youth Center all other fees are paid to Mr. Bushor.  Monthly tuition must be current to be eligible to test, see rule 14 above.
 16.  At the earliest possible date you must notify the instructor or ranking student if you are going to discontinue the class for any reason.
 17.  You must attend at least 85% of the classes to be eligible for promotion testing unless specific approval is received from the Instructor.
