Students of the Year:  The students of the year for 2008 are Mr. Luke Carter and Mr. Aaron Reep.  We believe they are excellent examples of the finest qualities in TKD, and display the tenets of Taekwon-Do (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit). Taekwon!  Please visit the webpage to their information.  We did not award students of the month for December; instead we worked on the award of student of the year.  We will announce the January students of the month later.

2008-2009:  We had a great 2008 with many exciting Taekwon-Do events.  Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow for our annual holiday party.  We had planned a black belt demonstration also.  We will perform the demonstration for all students to observe later.  We thank all students and parents for trying to attend the holiday party and we are sorry if you made food.  We have been informed by the Youth Center that it is our responsibility (Master Todd & Mr. Bushor) to contact students when the weather is bad and the Youth center is closing.  It is not possible for us to individually call almost 70 students when the Youth Center closes.  We will send out an email either from Master Todd or Mr. Bushor informing you that class is cancelled for bad weather.  If it looks bad outside please check your email or call the Youth Center at 294-5152.  We will only cancel classes if the Youth Center closes.

We welcome all students and parents back and look forward to an exciting 2009.  Please keep checking our website for the announcement of courses and tournaments for the next year.
 
Testing:  Our next scheduled testing will be on Friday, February 13th, starting at 5:30pm.  Currently testing’s are held in February, May, August and November.  Our goal is to not test in December to prevent any conflicts with the holidays.  However due to nationals and other events in 2009 the schedule will be changing.  In  2009 the schedule will be February (early), April, July, and October.  Then January 2010.  We should have several students testing for 1st and 2nd degree black belt.  Mr. Bushor will hold a pre-test in January.  All testing formats for color belts and black belts are currently being re-written.

Saturday Classes:  There will be no Saturday classes until further notice.  We will let you know as soon as Basketball season is over.
