Ho Sin Sul: Time limit: 2 minutes Opponents: one (armed) Tournament Competition: Tournament competition is required for this rank. A minimum of three USTF tournaments is required. Students must attend a USTF level two Ho Sin Sul seminar. Students must attend a USTF weapon self-defense course. Certification: Students conducting classes within the USTF as either an instructor or an assistant instructor must become USTF certified class "B" instructors. Training requirements: Students must be 17.5 years of age or older to test for 3rd dan black belt. Students must complete a complete a minimum of 30 months of active training as a 2nd dan black belt before testing for 3rd dan black belt. Active training is considered participating in an average of seven formal classes per month. Students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service. A formal letter verifying completion of community service must be turned in with the testing packet. Breaking requirements are listed in the USTF Black Belt Requirement Book
